Year 6.3 had a busy morning as the students were engaged in a re-potting exercise. This gave the students the opportunity to learn some basic gardening techniques. When the plants grow, they will be donated to the school. Well done Ms Jeanette for the lovely initiative 🙂

In January 6.2 students had a gardening activity. Together with the school gardener, Joseph, the students planted a rosemary plant in one of the school green areas. Joseph provided students with information about this particular herb and its use in different local dishes such as roasted chicken.
Year 5 students took part in an Equestrian programme organised by the Ministry for Education and Employment. The three-day programme was designed to create an awareness on the importance of health and physical activity and to boost integration through sport. Horses and ponies were used as a learning medium.
Students at STMC Marsaskala St Anne were made aware of water conservation and how they can do their bit to save water by watching the play Be The Change.
Last week the students in Y3.2 participated in activities related to Internet Safety. This activity was also linked to the topic of position and direction (Maths) and how to be safe online. Students were also encouraged to prepare posters related to internet safety. More photos coming soon! Well done Ms Sarah!
With the help of Mr Joseph, the school gardener, the EkoSkola Committee planted different seeds which were given during the EkoSkola FEE Fest. The seeds that were planted were: Myrtle seeds (iż-żerriegħa tal-pjanta tar-Rihan), carob seeds (iż-żerriegħa tal-pjanta tal-ħarrub) and oak seeds (iż-żerriegħa tal-pjanta tal-ballut).
