I am Angel Lupu and I am in Year 5.1.  This year at the beginning of March I had the opportunity to take part in a Writing Stars activity which was recently organised in Rome by the National Literacy Agency of the Ministry for Education and Employment. There were other sixty students and twenty teachers from state schools in Malta and Gozo.

We had the opportunity to visit sites like Vatican City, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna and the Church in Trinità dei Monti. At each site we were engaged in guided and creative writing activities.  We also sent postcards to our families from the Vatican City near St. Peter’s Basilica.  During our stay in Rome we met the Malta’s ambassador in Rome, Her Excellency Vanessa Frazier.

It was an unforgettable day for me.
