Year 4.1 Activity: The zinnia on World Children’s Day

Year 4.1 taught by Ms M. Abdilla  recently organized an activity related to World Children’s Day. This activity consisted in producing a paper flower called Zinnia.

The zinnia is known as the flower of friendship and the World Children’s Day coincided with this activity.  They drew an outline of their hands and helped each other when they could not hold the pencil properly to draw with the hand they’re not accustomed to using.  Then they proceeded to colour the palm in red and the fingers in yellow. They cut the drawings and their teacher continued to stick them in the shape of a flower.  The children’s drawings represented the petals.  The central part of the flower is made up with the photos of most of the pupils.
