During the months of December, our school organised once more The Prayer Spaces Activities for years one, two and three. This year the students had a longer time and were able to do activities in conjunction with the specific theme they were covering.
The year one tackled the theme We are Special, but we are all different. First the session started off with a short clip of Captain Mc Finn and friends, were the message that What makes you different does indeed make you Special, than they had a colouring activity with different types of colourful sea creatures. The session ended with a song I’m Special.
The year two tackled the theme Friends and how friends should behave towards each other. The short clip of Howard B. Wigglebottom , We Can all Get Along! helped to get the students in focus. Afterwards they had an activity creating Friendship bracelets which later were joined together to form a long friendship chain. The session ended with a song Friends.
The year three Theme was Best Friends, with the short clip of The Lion and the Mouse, where true friendship helped to change the lives of the forest creatures. The students had an activity of drawing up T shirts, with some information about each other. Later the students had an activity to learn how they really knew about one another. The session ended with a song What makes a good Friend?
