HAPPY NEW YEAR

This year the School Council undertook a big project; a unique 2020 calendar for each year group.  Each class had to take four photos. As one can imagine, it was not an easy task as teachers together with their students had to prepare different scenarios to match photos with the corresponding month. Whole class discussions and different activities were held in order to take a photo shoot to represent these four months. The outcome was very satisfying as teachers and students did their best, worked as a team and contributed to have a great result.

For the month of January 6.1 students dressed up to usher in the New Year.

For the month of February 6.2 students prepared a set of cards, hearts and flowers since Valentines Day is celebrated in February.

During another session 6. 2 students prepared colourful flowers for the month of May to remember Mother’s Day.

6.2 students were also engaged in a writing activity about the summer holidays and they also brought many beach items from home. They were really motivated to go for a walk along Marsaskala promenade and take their August class photo.

With regards November, 6.2 students decided to create the setting of St Martin’s Feast. Children brought fruit, walnuts, chestnuts and almonds. They also had the St.Martin’s cloth bags and wrote the short traditional rhyme ‘Ġewż, lewż, qastan, tin, kemm inħobbu ‘l San Martin’. This photo was taken on the parvis of our parish Church.
