Last Friday was a special occasion for our school as it celebrated its 50th anniversary since its inauguration. A special programme was held at the school hall to celebrate this event. Former headmasters who used to be at the helm of our school were also invited to enjoy with us this acitivity.
Everything started with a mass celebrated by Fr R.Camilleri, Marsaskala’s parish priest. Then students from class 3.1 animated the event with a play called The Farm Animals Save Christmas.

Next our school choir performed some Christmas Carols until an audiovisual presentation was shown featuring the history of our school.
Meanwhile, Mr E. Fenech, the school headmaster, highlighted the importance of this event as he mentioned the radical change this building had to endure during the past 50 years. He added that from a population of 150 pupils, the number rose to around 800 students and that the new school being built is of utmost importance for the Marsaskala community.

Mr G.Psaila, the College Principal, said that such events highlight how important education is for all the community and people alike. He praised our school for being proactive regarding cultural diversity and how integration is part and parcel of the school ethos.

Finally this website was officially launched by Mr R.Busuttil, a teacher who with the coordination of Ms Joanne Spiteri are updating and taking care of this blog.
