On the 27th of June a special activity was organised at our school. During this activity two Year 2 classrooms were transformed into an airport and an airplane! The children did all the work in this learning experience including brainstorming places to visit, creating their passport, reserving and checking tickets and passports, weighing luggage, checking hand luggage from liquids/other prohibited items, marking down passengers during check-in process, finding their gate, finding their seat on the plane in relation to their ticket, checking that all passengers are seated properly for take off and landing, passing out food on the plane and collecting unwanted packaging afterwards. Clapping during landing was the cherry on the cake.:Let’s go on a summer holiday!!
