Year 6.2 commemorate Commonwealth Day

Last Monday was Commonwealth Day and thus Year 6.2 prepared a short presentation to commemorate it. Commonwealth is a group of 53 countries, including Malta, which in the past were part of the British Empire and although now are independent countries they still keep their friendship ties. The students found about the different countries spread all over the world and made their flags. They also prepared short paragraphs to read to their audience. They described the aims of Commonwealth and  talked about the theme of 2019 which is “A Connected Commonwealth’. Other students read the message sent by the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Ms. Patricia Scotland, to celebrate Commonwealth Day.
